Collaborative production between The New World Symphony and Parsons MFA DT. My role in this project was the development of Generative Visuals to complement the public performance of Joseph Haydn’s String Quartet Op. 33 No.4. I developed four projection modes, one for each of the piece’s four movements.
Visuals were developed in openFrameworks and were affected by 3 data inputs: sound captured in the venue, movement of musicians read with an accelerometer/gyroscope sensor setup and optical flow from live capture.
Project developed in Collaboration Namreta Kumar, Brendan Byrne, Gabriel Gianordoli, Julie Huyhn and Madhav Thankha. Under advising of professors Joe Saavedra and Ed Keller.
