Disappearing People is a playful interactive installation consisting of a live camera capture and a screen. It uses movement detection to show moving objects over the background, making these objects disappear if no movement is present.
“Disappearing People” brings two interesting messages: from the spectator side, keep moving or you’ll not be noticed. From the surveillance aspect, surveillance is only interested in actions. There’s no need to observe individuals who are not acting on something.
